Mel Kemp has been a Registered Nurse as well an instructor trainer with Heart & Stroke Foundation Canada, Red Cross and St John Ambulance for over 30 years
She worked in the Canadian Military teaching courses in first aid, CPR, and Health & Safety to cadets as well as training officers to teach a variety of emergency & health care courses throughout Canada
She has also worked in Education Services in a large teaching hospital instructing Hospital staff and members of the community and assisting in giving teleconferences from all over the world. In addition she has trained many rural Fire & Rescue Paramedics and first responders how to deal with emergencies.
She has been safety supervisor for many large construction projects. Running on site first aid station and insuring the site conforms to construction safety regulations.
In 1986 the Heart & Stroke Foundation of Canada sent her on a cross Canada tour teaching CPR & promoting heart healthy living.
